The Under Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied, yet supersoft, red wine. The wine was matured in French oak for 24 months and has an intense dark ruby colour. Aromas of blackcurrant, plum and spices are balanced by a touch of cedar. Double Gold Michelangelo -
Fresh lemon peel and grapefruit skin dominate the nose and palate, and is beautifully rounded off with soft buttery notes in the background. (Lightly wooded) -
The Under Oaks Chenin Blanc 2024 is a bright, shiny wine with a pale straw-yellow colour. The wine is well balanced, full flavoured and displays strong notes of guava and tropical fruit salad on the nose and palate. It has good acidity and a long fruity aftertaste. Although it is very full-bodied this Chenin Blanc is soft on the palate and a pleasure to drink Gold Gilbert and Gaillard (85 points) -
The structure and depth of Cabernet Sauvignon is ameliorated by the ripe, velvety and juicy jammy fruit flavours of Shiraz. This combination, with oak maturation to add extra spice and complexity, and to soften the edges, has produced a wine which is far greater than the sum of its parts. (50% Cab 50% Shiraz) -
